Do your tours require hiking?

Most of our tours do not require hiking, although they do have picture stops where you will be getting out of the vehicle and doing short walks on uneven terrain.

Our Ancient Ruins tour does include a ¾ mile walk through the ruin site that takes approximately 45 minutes. If you are interested in hiking specifically, consider our 2.5  or 4 hour guided hiking tours.

Should we tip our guide, and if so how much?

It is customary to tip the guide, especially when they provide you with exceptional service. Gratuity is based on individual preference but we suggest 15% which is the industry standard. You may tip the guide in cash or have it added to your credit card.

Although our tours are intimate due to vehicle size (max of 6-9 people) there will likely be other guests on the tour. For information on reserving a private vehicle, see the reservations section of the FAQ.

Dress in clothing comfortable for being outdoors, keeping in mind that since we are in the southwest it is recommended to wear sun protection including hats and sunscreen year round. Yes, however there is no storage space in our vehicles.  Anything you bring needs to fit comfortably in your lap throughout the tour.

Can I bring food or liquor?

While we do not require advance reservations we do have limited tour permits, and often sell out.  We highly recommend making reservations in advance for the best availability of our tours and departure times.

Our tours depart every hour on the hour starting at 7 am.  Our last tour of the day returns just after sunset.  All tour departure times are subject to availability.

We offer hotel pick-ups in the Sedona area at no additional charge.  Depending on your hotel location and your choice of tour, pick-ups are scheduled either before or after your scheduled tour departure time.

For pick-ups scheduled before your tour departure time, you will be picked up at your hotel and brought to our office where you will check-in and meet your guide.  Your tour will start at the original time scheduled.

Can I reserve a private tour?

Yes, as long as you purchase all available seats on your tour vehicle, which may be up to 9 seats, depending on the tour. We also add a 15% gratuity on all seats for the guide. To reserve a private tour, call our customer service team at 928-282-5000.

50 years of excellence

The tour was amazing and completely worth the trip! The landscaping is gorgeous and there's no better way to see it than in a pink jeep! Our guide, Brandon, was a complete pro! He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for the outdoors and for teaching. I was shocked to find that this is his first season.... I never would have guessed! He was able to answer all of our questions and keep the trip entertaining too. I'm definitely coming back on my next trip to...

We took the 4 hour tour which seemed to fly by. James picked us up at our hotel and gave us the grand tour through Sedona as we went to our destination. The tour was enjoyable and informative.

David did a great job balancing comedy with facts. He was very knowledgeable on the rocks and how this area was created. He was attentive to each group on our tour. He made the trip very exciting. We were also in one of the new forward facing jeeps. That made for a thrilling ride as we descended the rocks. Thanks foe a fun adventure.

Super fun and the highlight of our trip. The guide was awesome, the tour was like an educational rollercoaster and the kids loved it.

Rod, 12 Mar 2017

The tour was great fun and adventurous. We saw exciting Indian ruins and artifacts up close. In addition, the walking was not strenuous or dangerous and the ride was not too rough or scary. I recommend this tour for first timers or those seeking a less rigorous ride during the tour.

Kyle was an amazing tour guide. He was a wealth of information. My wife and I were celebrating or 30th Anniversary on the day we took the tour and this was an amazing way to end the day. My wife is a bit timid when out hiking but she had a blast on this tour. Kyle made her feel safe the whole tour. We would highly recommend Pink Jeep Tours to all my friends and family.
