Permitted by the National Park Service to conduct tours at the Grand Canyon
Explore one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World on this shorter excursion to the Grand Canyon! Pink Adventure Tours’ Grand Canyon Express Tour features two of the more prominent views of the Canyon. Experience the South Rim’s grandeur as you arrive at the first expansive view of the Canyon at Mather Point and then on to Grand Canyon Village, where a host of historic and memorable sites await.
Your Grand Canyon tour starts in the beauty of Sedona at the Pink Jeep Tours Plaza. Meet your guide and then sit back in comfort and leave the driving to us!
Heading north from Sedona to the Grand Canyon, you will first see Oak Creek Canyon, a spectacular river gorge carved out by Oak Creek. Your Pink Adventure Tours chauffeur and professional tour guide narrates today’s journey, so listen how settlers used the creek to irrigate crops, including an apple tree orchard that’s still around today. Soon, you’re coasting past the mountain town of Flagstaff, AZ with its historical downtown located on the famous Historical Route 66.
After a relaxing drive through a forest of Ponderosa Pines, the Grand Canyon entrance is before you. Once inside the Grand Canyon National Park, your tour guide will take you to Mather Point, the first viewpoint and a close walk to the Visitor’s Center. The canyon will be brought to life as your tour guide shares stories on the history, landscape, wildlife and geology of the Grand Canyon.
Did you know that the rocks at the bottom of the Grand Canyon are nearly 2 billion years old? How the Grand Canyon formed still puzzles geologists today. Throughout your journey, your tour guide will explain current theories as to how this majestic wonder was formed.
There’s so much to see at the Grand Canyon Village! Many architectural landmarks call this place home including the Hopi House, built in 1905 as a typical adobe structure used by the Hopi Indians of Old Oraibi. The El Tovar Hotel, a national historic landmark is from the same era and was run by the Harvey House for railway customers. Don’t miss the Kolb museum, former home and photographic studio of pioneers Emery and Ellsworth Kolb.
There’s time to eat lunch at one of a handful of restaurants and browse store shelves among the authentic shops. The adventure continues on your drive back to Sedona. The beauty of Northern Arizona rolls by outside your window. A guided day trip to the Grand Canyon is the best way to experience this awe-inspiring wonder.
